Lore of Death

Life Leeching (Attribute)

When a Lore of Death spell resolves, roll a D6 for each unsaved Wound it caused (models removed by the Purple Sun of Xereus each add a number of dice equal to their Wounds characteristic). For each 6 rolled, the Wizard immediately adds a dice to their army's power pool.

Spirit Leech (Signature): 7+

Signature Spell. Direct damage, range 12", targets a single enemy model (even a character in a unit). Both caster and target roll a D6 and add their Leadership; for every point the caster wins by, the target suffers a Wound which Ignores Armour Saves. May instead extend range to 24", increasing the casting value to 10+.

Aspect of the Dreadknight: 4+

Augment, range 24". The target unit gains Fear until the start of the caster's next Magic phase (Terror instead if it already causes Fear). May instead grant Terror directly, increasing the casting value to 9+.

The Caress of Laniph: 6+

Direct damage, range 12", targets a single enemy model (even a character in a unit), which suffers a number of hits equal to 2D6 minus its own Strength; hits wound on a 4+ and Ignore Armour Saves. May instead extend range to 24", increasing the casting value to 9+.

Soulblight: 10+

Hex, range 18". The target suffers -1 Strength and -1 Toughness (minimum 1) until the start of the caster's next Magic phase. May instead extend range to 36", increasing the casting value to 13+.

Doom and Darkness: 10+

Remains in play. Hex, range 24". The target suffers -3 Leadership. May instead extend range to 48", increasing the casting value to 13+.

The Fate of Bjuna: 13+

Direct damage, range 12", targets a single enemy model (even a character in a unit), which suffers a number of hits equal to 2D6 minus its own Toughness; hits wound on a 2+ and Ignore Armour Saves. A surviving target is subject to Stupidity for the remainder of the game.

The Purple Sun of Xereus: 15+

Remains in play. A magical vortex using the small round template. Roll an artillery dice, multiply by 3, for the distance it moves each turn in a chosen direction; models touched must pass an Initiative test or be slain outright (no saves except Magic Resistance). A misfire centres the template on the caster, which then moves via a scatter dice and D6". In later turns the vortex moves a random direction and distance (via artillery dice each turn); a misfire in a later turn causes it to collapse and be removed. May instead use the large round template, increasing the casting value to 25+.
