Lore of Life

When a Lore of Life spell is successfully cast, the Wizard (or another friendly model within 12") instantly recovers a single Wound lost earlier in the battle.

Signature Spell. Augment, cast on the Wizard and the unit they are with, which gains Regeneration (5+) until the start of the caster's next Magic phase. May instead target a unit within 12", which gains Regeneration (6+) instead.

Direct damage, range 18", D6 Strength 4 hits (2D6 if the target is within 3" of a forest).

Augment, range 24". The target unit gains +2 Toughness until the start of the caster's next Magic phase.

Remains in play. Augment cast on the Wizard. While in effect, every time the Wizard miscasts, roll a D6; on a 4+ the miscast is ignored. In addition, if also cast this phase: Earth Blood grants +1 to the target's Regeneration save, Awakening of the Wood instead hits at Strength 5, Flesh to Stone instead adds +3 Toughness, Regrowth instead restores D6+1 Wounds worth of models, and Shield of Thorns instead hits at Strength 4 (does not retroactively change spells already cast).

Remains in play. Augment, range 24". At the end of each Magic phase, any enemy unit in base contact with the target suffers 2D6 Strength 3 hits.

Augment, range 24". The target unit instantly recovers D3+1 Wounds' worth of models slain earlier in the battle (cavalry count as 2 models each), restored in order: musician, then standard bearer, then multi-Wound rank-and-file topped up, then remaining wounds resurrect rank-and-file models. Cannot exceed the unit's starting size, and cannot heal characters or their mounts. May instead extend range to 48", increasing the casting value to 12+.

Direct damage, range 12". Every model in the target unit must pass a Strength test or be slain (no saves except Magic Resistance). May instead extend range to 24", increasing the casting value to 21+.
