Split Profiles and Striking Order

Blows are struck in Initiative order -- the swiftest warriors, mentally and physically, get to strike first, and a slower model killed before its own turn to strike never gets to fight back at all. Work through every model's Initiative value, from highest to lowest (including any bonuses from weapons or spells); each model strikes when its own value is reached, provided it hasn't already been killed and still has an enemy in base contact. Models sharing the same Initiative value strike simultaneously. Models that charged this turn add +1 to their Initiative, representing their momentum as they crash into the enemy.

Split Profiles and Striking Order

A model with Attacks at two or more different Initiative values (a knight or other cavalry model, for example) resolves each set of Attacks at its own relevant Initiative step. If the model is slain before it can strike a later, lower-Initiative set of blows, those Attacks are simply lost, just as any model's Attacks are lost if it's slain before its turn to strike. Occasionally a split-profile model may also be unable to strike some of its blows because every eligible enemy has already been killed -- usually a sign its own warriors have already done plenty of damage.
