Movement

Moving an army well is one of the most decisive parts of a Warhammer battle -- when two commanders are evenly matched, it can be as demanding as a good game of chess. Unlike a chessboard, though, the tabletop has no grid: movement is worked out with a measuring tape or ruler.

This chapter starts with the common rules for moving units and making basic manoeuvres, then works through the Movement phase itself step by step. The same core rules govern almost all movement -- any exceptions for chargers or fleeing troops are covered in their own sub-phase, and a handful of units (flying creatures, for example) move in their own special way, covered later in the book.
